Oxygen Purifier

that Air Products has purchased a high
pressure oxygen purifier for use at their
Air Products Korea facility in Siheung,
Korea. The purifier has been incorporated into the process to purify oxygen
prior to filling ultra-high purity gas cylinders. The oxygen purifier is specifically
designed for use with pressures up to
2,500 psig, typical of cylinder-filling

MOCON Testing Lab to Open in
Mumbai

MOCON, Inc. has partnered with Hemetek Techno Instruments, Mumbai, India to
establish a certified testing lab. Hemetek
will be operating the first independent,
MOCON-certified lab. The lab will offer
barrier and headspace analysis, leak detection and burst testing for food, beverage
and pharmaceutical/medical packaging.
The water vapor, oxygen and carbon dioxide permeation testing services are also

Praxair Installs Dilute Oxygen
Combustion in China; To Build H2
N2 Facility in India
(shanghai, china) Praxair’s patented
technology, Dilute Oxygen Combustion,
has been installed in China, at Jinlong
Copper Co., Ltd. Jinlong Copper is the
largest copper smelting joint venture in
China, located in Tongling City, Anhui
Province. Fabricated and installed was
a complete dual-fuel Dilute Oxygen
Combustion system for a 400-ton anode
furnace, replacing an existing air-fired
system.
Praxair, Inc. has received a major order
from the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. for
the long-term supply of hydrogen and
nitrogen gases to its new 300,000 bar-rels-per-day greenfield oil refinery that
is being built at Paradip, Orissa, on the
eastern coast of India. Praxair will build
a 90 million standard cubic feet per day
hydrogen plant and a 500 tons per day
nitrogen plant at the Paradip refinery.
Start-ups of the plants are scheduled for
the first quarter of 2012 when the refinery

Certification

announced that its ONESuit® Pro hazmat
suit has earned certification recognized
within the EU and Asia.
The British Standards Institute has
deemed the suit compliable with the recognized benchmark in fire and hazmat
safety for 30 different member countries,
EN 943-2 Type 1a standard. Along with
EN certification, ONESuit Pro is also certified in the United States to both NFPA
1991 and NFPA 1994 standards. www.
