LaserScan utilizes a high brightness QCL
(quantum cascade laser) source, which results
in high spectral power density and radiance.
The QCL source provides the ability to collimate the beam and analyze gases across ducts
without re-imaging. LaserScan is based on
widely tunable (600 cm-1) QCLs in a range from
1600-833 cm-1 . Detects and measures substances on surfaces from a standoff distance
of 6 inches to 2 feet. LaserScan identifies bulk
materials and detects sub-micron films based
on their mid-IR absorption characteristics;
detects sub-micron to 50 micron films. Detects
gases at ppb levels with open path measurements and can detect concentrations less
than 10 µg/cm2. An alternate version of the
device is designed to interface with common
FTIR accessories, including liquid and gas cells,

44, a standard 34-liter cyl-
inder containing 44 liters
of precision calibration
gas. The new 44 features
29 percent more gas than
the traditional 34-liter unit,
reducing the cost per liter
while also extending the
life cycle of a standard
34-liter cylinder. Ecos-
mart 44 holds both pure
gases and gas mixtures
and is approved for safe
transport by the Depart-
ment of Transportation.
To produce ecosmart 44,
Gasco uses an exclusively designed, reinforced
34-liter aluminum alloy cylinder and applies its
proprietary manufacturing process to safely
and effectively increase the gas pressure. This
process enables the standard 34-liter cylin-
der to hold 10 additional liters of calibration
gas. But unlike its standard 44-liter cylinder,
Ecosmart is refillable, creating both financial
